Reviews and Ratings

Yalumba's The Strapper 2015 is a juicy and robust red wine blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro (aka Mourvèdre) grapes. Well-priced below $20. Varietals are picked separately for this wine and are vinified separately. The wine juice is aged in large oak vats, smaller oak vats, puncheons and smaller oak barrels giving the wine structure and more complexity. On the nose the wine is perfumed with crushed red raspberry, red plum, earthy florals. Sensuous on the palate with ripe red fruits, cocoa flavours and nutty notes from oak ageing. Lovely now. Pair with grilled ribs and chicken. - Community Wine Reviews
