Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Good concentration on the nose, showing ripe and jammy cherry, raspberry, and strawberry, followed by a little oak spice. Juicy and fruity palate. Lighter on the tannins and on the wallet when compared to Chateauneuf-du-Pape and other Southern Rhone reds. Good value for $20.
Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A good-value, full-bodied Rhone blend of 50% Grenache, 40% Mourvedre, and 5% each of Syrah and Cinsault, the aromas are spicy (as is the dry finish) with dark berries and herbs on the palate. Decant or age further. Versatile with all meats and savoury dishes. The grapes were sourced from old vines and the wine is organic too! Tasted February 2020.
Xavier 2016 is produced from Old Vines Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah from the Côtes Du Rhône wine region. Lots of rich, ripe plummy fruit, savoury, meaty and pepper spice flavours finishing long on the palate. Pair with a roast of pork. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
