Xavier Vignon was the consulting winemaker for several respected Rhone Valley wineries. Building on this work, he now creates his own wine under this label. A well-priced supple, smooth French red wine with aromas of dark fruit and good juicy acidity. Pair with grilled pork chops.

Food pairings: sausage and bean cassoulet, gourmet hamburgers, Salisbury steak.

Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A fruit driven Rhone Valley wine that delivers above it's price tag. Fresh berries, wood smoke, fleshy black plum, cassis and wild flowers.A little warming alcohol on the finish. Points for value at $16. Perfect burger wine; meaty spaghetti sauce.
Tasted: April 2017
From the Southern Rhone, Xavier Ventoux (2015) is a smooth and supple juicy red wine with refreshing acidity. The region is so named for Mount Ventoux and the region has seen winemaking since the first century BCE - pottery has been uncovered by archaeological excavations in the region with the earliest evidence of amphorae production in France in this region. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
