A full-bodied Australian red wine made by Rathbone Wine Group Pty Ltd, this blockbuster Australian Cabernet also has 4% each of Malbec and petit Verdot grapes, and 2% cabernet franc in the blend. The grapes were crushed and de-stemmed, then fermented for about a week, representing a good length of post-fermentation maceration. The wine was aged for 14 months in French oak barriques, of which was 20% new.

Reviews and Ratings

Xanadu Djl 2014 is a medium-plus bodied, juicy 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Malbec and 4% Petit Verdot red wine blend from the Margaret River. Wine grapes are destemmed, crushed and spend 5-7 days in a static fermenter; a third of the juice receives extended maceration on skins. The wine is matured for over one year in French oak barrels. Look for black and blueberry fruits flavours on this elegant red blend. Drink now and for the next eight years. Xanadu winery was founded in 1977 by Dr John Lagan. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
