Although this estate Cabernet Sauvignon is a medium-plus-bodied, there is a lot of ripe and intense flavours on the palate. On the nose, The Siding 2016 is intense with black currant and cedar brush aromas. Dry and flavoursome on the palate with ripe blackberry, dried herbs, underbrush and savoury spice on this smoky red from the Coonawarra. Tannins are grippy and this vintage would benefit by laying it down in cellar for about three years.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: prime rib, rare steaks, grilled kangaroo striploin steak.

From the Coonawarra, South Australia, Wynns The Siding 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon is a medium-plus-bodied estate red with pronounced black currant and cedar brush aromas. Dry and with ripe blackberry, light herbs, cedar and savoury spice on this smoky red. Tannins are grippy and would benefit from about three years in cellar. If pouring now, decant two hours prior to serving it with a grilled T-bone steak. - Community Wine Reviews
