Reviews and Ratings

Emilie Ryan rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Nice nose and nice green apple taste…

Presentation: nice label but the shape of the bottom of the label introduces an asymmetry that detracts from the overall appearance
Appearance: very pale yellow
Nose: white peaches, citrus, very nice
Taste: green apples, floral, honey. There is a sharpness to the wine but combined with the notes, it’s pleasant. Could be paired with poultry or Thai food
Finish: green apples and petrol.
Overall impression: I love Riesling and I think Wild Goose did a good job here. It has the classic note of petrol, but also some lovely green apple and hints of honey. I would definitely drink this wine again.

Value: 4 out of 5
Careful vineyard management and hand harvesting of the thirty year old vines builds complexity and depth, while cool fermentation allows the wine to express not only the vines' age but also the unique soil in which they grow. Opens with intense aromas of peach, apple and citrus, followed by mineral, grapefruit and finishes with ample acidity leaving the palate crisp and clean.
