Natalie's Score: 93/100

I love this medium-bodied, elegant and fresh Pinot Noir from South Island, New Zealand. It's so silky smooth and juicy with ripe raspberry, red cherry, fine herbs, sweet baking spice, toasty oak spice and mocha flavours on the palate. dark chocolate. The PN grapes are sourced from select sites in six vineyards in the Awatere Valley, Wairau Valley and Southern Valley sub-regions of Marlborough.

Pinot Noir food pairings: roast beef, turkey, pork tenderloin, coq au vin.

Reviews and Ratings

From the Marlborough wine region, Whitehaven 2016 Pinot Noir is a satiny smooth PN plushy on the palate with bright cherry, red berry, dark chocolate soft baking spice, a kiss of dried herbs and toasty oak spice flavours on the palate. Well-crafted and so good now. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
