Reviews and Ratings

Greg Hughes rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Pfaff is short for Pfaffenheim. They ae a largish producer from Alsace, in the northeast corner of France. This region shares a border, and much of its wine style, with Germany. This one is a pretty typical example of Alsatian Roesling, which is bone-dry and refreshing.
Pale lemon colour.
It is lean and fresh on the aroma. Somewhat steely. Some florality and you can smell the citrus. Zesty too.
Look for some crunchy orchard fruit and grapefruit. A subtle spice emerges when it is not overchilled. Sort of reminiscent of gunpowder tea.
It is quite drinkable and has some interesting complexity. Good intro to a cool region, if you are new to Alsace.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
