Tangy strikes of green apple and lime accent this fresh, thirst quenching white. Nearly dry in style, it's a slim yet juicy Riesling ideal for youthful drinking. — Anna Lee C. Iijima (87 points wineenthusiast.com) NEW: Weinbiet takes its name from a mountain that rises above the vineyards of the Pfalz. This Sekt is made from Pinot Blanc, which Germans call Weissburgunder. Pear and almond blossom come through on crisp, dry bubbles. Germans drink more sparkling wine than almost anyone, and with Sekt this good, I see why. Pork schnitzel with a squeeze of lemon is a terrific winter match.

Food pairings: pork schnitzel with apple and onion compote, roast pork loin, grilled sausages with sauerkraut.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
