Wegeler Mosel Bernkastel Graben Spätlese Riesling is a sweet, light-bodied white wine revealing exquisite citrus of mandarin and Meyer lemon wrapped in a little flint on the reductive nose, while the palate shows a serene, perfumed, sweet-tart interplay of glazed peel that is gently sweet, wonderfully vibrant and of absolute purity. Serve it chilled with spicy Thai green curry with chicken, where the wine's wonderful vibrancy and soft sweetness cool the heat while its citrus notes complement the lemongrass and makrut lime leaves, or pair it with roasted duck with orange glaze as the wine's mandarin and Meyer lemon harmonize with the citrus-based sauce while its sweet-tart character balances the rich, gamey meat. Winemaker Norbert Breit oversees production at Wegeler, a historic German estate with roots dating back to 1882 that owns prime vineyard sites in both the Mosel and Rheingau, including the prestigious Bernkastel Graben site where slate soils create Rieslings of exceptional purity and elegance. This wine flows, glides and beguiles, and can be enjoyed from 2026 through 2056 as its layers continue to unfold.

Riesling food pairings: mild curries, roast pork, grilled shellfish dishes.
