Reviews and Ratings

Community Reviewer reviewed this wine as follows:

The Quinta da Cavadinha 1996 follows the classic Warre style, with very concentrated red and black fruit, with hints of Esteva. On the palate, a potent structure in harmony with the fruit, and with a long elegant finish. Warre's Quinta da Cavadinha 1996 due to its great depth of structure will undoubtedly be a wine to age for many years.

Spiced, alcohol infused dried fruit and citrus peel. Then a savoury counterpoint of wood-baked potato skins. Great power but with finesse starting to appear. Needs more time but the balance should be great once the fire has subsided. Drink: 2011-2020. Score: 17 (out of 20) Source: James Halliday, winecompanion.com.au

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
