Viu Manent Gran Reserva Chardonnay from Litueche, Colchagua Costa displays aromas of ripe yellow apple, citrus blossom, honeydew melon and a hint of sea salt. It's dry and medium-bodied with bright acidity and subtle textural richness that gives the wine refreshing elegance through a crisp, clean finish. Serve it well-chilled alongside pan-seared crab cakes with lemon aioli where the wine's zesty acidity and saline minerality complement the sweet shellfish, or pair it with roast chicken with herbs where the wine's fresh fruit and bright acidity balance the savory, aromatic meat. Chief winemaker Patricio Celedón crafts this Gran Reserva from grapes grown in the coastal Litueche subregion of Colchagua Costa, where cooling ocean breezes from the Pacific create ideal conditions for elegant, fresh Chardonnay with natural acidity, then ferments and ages it in stainless steel to preserve the wine's crisp fruit character and mineral expression. Founded in 1935 by Catalan immigrant Miguel Viu García and expanded by the Viu family across four generations, Viu Manent remains family-owned and operates on sustainable principles including organic farming practices, and the estate's historic vineyards in Colchagua were among Chile's first to be planted to noble French varieties in the mid-20th century. Enjoy this refreshing Chardonnay through 2032.

Chardonnay food pairings: roast chicken, sautéed pork tenderloin, crab cakes.
