Vittore Formula Ancestral Vermouth from Valencia is a luscious, medium-bodied fortified wine offering aromas of candied citrus peel, toasted hazelnuts, and aromatic herbs. It's sweet with balanced acidity and a warming, silky texture. Serve it chilled over ice with an orange twist alongside Spanish chorizo and aged Manchego cheese as the vermouth's spiced complexity will complement the savory, cured flavors beautifully, or pair it with dark chocolate truffles where the wine's bittersweet botanical notes will enhance the cocoa's richness perfectly. The fifth generation of the Valsangiacomo family crafts this vermouth using the original 1905 recipe created by Benedetto Valsangiacomo, blending Macabeo wine with 24 carefully selected botanicals including gentian, wormwood, sage, and chamomile from Mediterranean and Alpine sources, then aging the blend for six months in oak barrels. Founder Vittore Valsangiacomo's son Cherubino established the Spanish operations in 1890 after relocating from Switzerland to Chiva, drawn by Valencia's strategic port location and outstanding local grape quality. Enjoy now or cellar for 1-2 years.

Vermouth food pairings: Spanish chorizo with aged Manchego cheese, dark chocolate truffles, salted Marcona almonds.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
