Vintages Wine Panel: This blend of 50% Syrah, 48% Mourvèdre, and 2% Viognier is named for a 250-year-old wolf trap set by early pioneers in the Franschhoek foothills who mistakenly thought wolves inhabited South Africa. This rich and flavourful wine is given an aromatic lift by the addition of a small amount of Viognier. My note: The viognier highlights the aromas of the red grapes. A great value. Closed with a screwcap.

Boekenhoutskloof The Wolftrap Syrah/Mourvédre/Viognier food pairings: grilled lamb.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
