Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Potent notes of cassis, oak spice, vanilla, menthol, and cocoa. Great acid and tannins. A big wine with elegant balance. Has been called 'unicorn' due to the rarity of single varietal Cabernet Sauvignon from the winery, and 'climate change' to reflect the belief that CS can't be done on the Niagara Escarpment unless a little global warming created the conditions needed to fully ripen the variety. Very young, give this some time. Beef, lamb or game; grilled, braised, or roasted.
From the Twenty Mile Bench, Niagara Escarpment wine region, Vineland Estates Reserve 2015 is a deep, medium-plus-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon with cassis, wood spice and vanilla flavours on the palate. Vineland Estates calls this wine the "unicorn," since it's the rarest of their varietal bottlings and given that 2015 was a challenging vintage. Pair with a garlic and rosemary roast leg of lamb. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
