From Savigny-Lès-Beaune, Burgundy wine region, Vincent Girardin Les Serpentières Premier Cru 2014 is produced from 100% Pinot Noir sourced from 50 year old vines thriving in the chalky, gravelling and clay soils of the Côte de Beaune. Savigny-les-Beaune is one of the oldest parcels that once belonged to the Dukes of Burgundy and to the Abbeys of Citeaux and Maizières. The wine was aged in French oak barrels (15% new) for 14 months and malo took place in barrel. The wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered and is dry, bright and fragrant with violets, fresh ripe cherry, fine herbs and well-integrated oak spice and velvety tannins. Drink or hold.

Les Serpentières 1er Cru food pairings: roast chicken, duck, turkey.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
