Reviews and Ratings

Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

Tasted Sept. 15th, 2018. Colour dark ruby red. Legs thick. Aromas and flavours of, black cherry, plum, blackberry, black licorice, cured meat, smoke. Taste extra dry, medium plus body, dark fruity plus, balanced with tannin and alcohol. Finish long and complex. Stays with you on the palate for awhile. I like this wine very rich with fruit and compelxity. Recommend letting stay open for awhile. Can use a slight chill 18C to bring out flavours. Made to drink now or over next two years. Pair with BBQ or spanish tapas.
Viñademoya Centenari 2016 is a medium-plus bodied Mencia produced by Bodegas Luzdivina Amigo. The wine is big and rustic made from mostly old vine Mencía with a small amount of Garnacha Tintorera and some white wine influence of Doña Blanca and Palomino. Nicely lifted, pair with beef sliders. - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
