The name Koyle comes from the native Chilean plant which grows in oak forests and that produces a beautiful purple flower as well as greatly desired fruit. This endangered species is found abundantly in the winery's vineyards located in Alto Colchagua. Lovely blackberry, mint on the nose of this full-bodied Chilean red wine. You can't go wrong with this robust red, especially at this price point. It has the power of Chilean fruit but is also well-sculpted and balanced with a satisfying long finish. The 2015 vintage of the Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon has attractive dark fruit flavours.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: rich meat-based pasta dishes, grilled steaks with a flavourful sauce, pork tenderloin.
