Grapes are grown in the Uco Valley and Luján de Cuyo appellation of the Mendoza wine region. Golden-yellow highlights in the glass. Just 20% of the fermenting juice gets oak contact. Great balance and elegance in this Argentine Chardonnay, with pleasant green apple and toasted almond finish. Full-bodied and luscious. This winery is co-owned by the esteemed California producer Paul Hobbs, Andrea Marchiori and Luis Barraud. Pair with crab cakes.

Chardonnay food pairings: crab cakes with lemon sauce, seafood.

Reviews and Ratings

Viña Cobos Felino 2016 Chardonnay is well-priced under $20. The wine is pale gold in the glass with ripe pear, white peach and light orange aromas on the nose. On the palate, this Chardonnay is dry, creamy with more of the same notes on the palate and all wrapped in a vibrant acidity. Pair with roast chicken. - Community Wine Reviews
