Rustic and robust Italian red wine with cedar brush and black fruit aromas. The 2012 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Rosso del Duca is complex and layered with luxurious layers of black fruit and pencil led. Pair with a big meat casserole.
Montepulciano D'abruzzo food pairings: pizza, meat loaf.

Kimberly Inksater - Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:
A dark and robust Italian! Aromas of spice, plums, violets, chocolate, flint and blueberries. A delicious combination of dark berries and savoury flavours with a hint of licorice on the finish. It would pair well with all types of Italian and meat based dishes. I enjoyed it with lasagna with bolognese sauce.
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:
A deep ruby with purple colour with some notes of red and black fruit, cellar, forest floor, cedar. Medium+ body with medium+ acid/fruit balance. Polishing tannins, warming alcohol and a good warm spice or alcohol finish. Still some time left in the bottle. Pair with pasta and meat sauce, meat lovers pizza, beef fajitas. Decant.

Purchased in Lindsay. Incredible!
This full-bodied Italian red wine is made by a winery based in Atri, a small village. A Montepulciano with lots of tannin and heft. - Community Wine Reviews
