This Italian red wine hails from the Classico zone nestled in the centre of the Chianti region. It was awarded its DOC designation in 1716, though the wines have been made there since the 15th century (think Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo). A robust, tannic, acidic Italian red wine that's medium- to full-bodied and ideal for pasta in tomato sauce or spicy sausages. This wine is made from 100% Sangiovese grapes.

Chianti Classico food pairings: hearty stews, fricassee chicken, slow-cooked brisket.

So good!!
Villa Cafaggio (2013) is a Chianti Classico from the Tuscany wine region made from 100% Sangiovese Grapes and is so rich with mouth filling cherry liqueur, bright raspberry and savoury spice flavours. Drink now and for the next three years. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
