Reviews and Ratings

Emilie Ryan rated this wine as 80/100 with the following review:

A Pinot Noir that requires more acidic foods to show off its best parts…
Presentation: Plain, understated bottle
Appearance: Garnet to tawny colour, light and clear
Nose: Sour berries, leather, some floral notes
Taste: Light to medium bodied feel, surprisingly acidic, notes of sour berries, flowers and earth
Finish: Medium, fell somewhat flat at the end
Overall impression: An acceptable Pinot Noir from an up-and-coming region. Pinot Noir is not easy to make. In contrast to some of the tasting notes, we did not find anything creamy about this offering. It paired well with more acidic foods (i.e., margherita pizza and salad with lemon-garlic vinaigrette) but became astringent and bitter with a little sweetness (e.g., chocolate).
Value: 3/5
A medium-bodied, fruity Pinot Noir from Viewpointe Estate in Ontario. Red cherries, savoury herbs, violets and a creamy finish. Lovely, juicy PN with balanced acidity to fruit. Have now with roast of lamb with seasonal vegetables. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
