Reviews and Ratings

Like traditional Absinthe, this is not a Pastis, as it contains no licorice in the blend. Unlike traditional Absinthe, this contains the distillates from the leaves of wormwood, not the roots. Versinthe is already sweetened, so the ritual with the sugar, the water and the slotted spoon is unnecessary. While purists may prefer to drink it straight for its refreshing bitter taste, most will prefer to let the “green fairy” out (the drink turns a milky glowing green colour) by adding 6-10 parts ice water per measure of Versinthe. Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.

Gary Vaynerchuck, Wine Library TV
