Reviews and Ratings

Drink Wine and Giggle Gals rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The most memorable characteristic of Villa Angela Pecorino is the restaurant markup of 400% over retail (smart phones with the LCBO app enable the Drink Wine and Giggle Gals to calculate any restaurant's wine greediness multiplier). Pecorino is a hard Italian cheese produced from ewe's milk and it's been said that Italian sheep prefer pecorino grapes. Villa Angela Pecorino is full bodied with too many notes to mention. A veritable symphony on the palate, don't ewe know. Not Villa Angela's fault, but four times retail left a bitter aftertaste.
Pecorino is a grape variety that is gaining acclaim, and this wine shows why. Aromas of pear, peach, almond paste and honey. Dry and fruity with a nice seam of acidity to bring balance. This pretty and flavourful wine is a great sipper. It can be enjoyed with grilled shrimp and a light lemon sauce, or with the regional cheese that shares its name. Source: Vintages Wine Panel

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
