From the Piceno in the Marche wine region, Velenosi Brecciarolo 2018 is a dry, robust and vibrant red wine blend of 70% Montepulciano and 30% Sangiovese. Great value under $15, look for ripe dark fruits, earthy florals, blueberry and savoury herb flavours lingering on a mineral note. Pair with hard cheeses and a casual night by the campfire.

Food pairings: pasta with rich tomato sauce, vegetarian lasagne, hard cheeses.
