Vaucher Père & Fils' Fleurie from Beaujolais is a fragrant, medium-bodied red wine crafted from Gamay with notes of tart red plum, bright cherry, violet and wild berries. This relentlessly dry wine displays firm, fleshy texture and right-on fruit-acid balance that make it ideal for pairing with food. Serve it slightly below room temperature with herb-roasted duck as the wine's fresh acidity complements the rich meat, or pair it with grilled pork chops where the wine's juicy character balances the charred flavors. Winemaker Philippe Vaucher ages this lovely Fleurie ten months in stainless steel to preserve the wine's vibrant fruit and attractive freshness without oak influence. Vaucher Père & Fils is a family estate committed to producing classic expressions of Beaujolais' top-rated crus, showcasing the quality and aging potential of Gamay from Fleurie's granite slopes. This excellent-value wine represents outstanding quality and will drink beautifully through 2028.

Food pairings: roast chicken, roast duck, roast pork.
