Reviews and Ratings

Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

Purchased this wine to use in Osso Bucco because of its acid content. While the meal was cooking I did a tasting. The vintages panel nailed it in their notes. Lemon and pear.
I felt it tasted like those lemon drop candies and the pear was like poached pear. My mouth did water after the finish. This should go well with pecorino cheese. Yup the acidity is strong in this one. Also researched the grape variety and you can learn how in Italy the DOC applies strict use of the grape in its wine products. Had an overall nice experience learning about this wine.
Through classification and DNA of the Pecorino grape, Benedictine monks were creating wine from it nearly 800 years ago. It's namesake, may be linked to the Italian word "pecora", meaning "sheep" and that delicious and tangy Italian cheese of the same name, pecorino. The grape is a low-yielding early ripener and makes a zesty, tangy and fresh wine. Great value on this Pecorino Valle Reale Sentieri (2015). - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
