A lively Spanish red wine that's bone-dry and earthy on the palate: the best of all worlds. Dark fruit and some smoke. Full-bodied and relatively smooth though decant for 1-2 hours and pair with lamb in rosemary.

Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

There's a good amount of acidity and youthful tannins that suggest this wine should evolve a little longer in the bottle - even for an already 5 year old wine. This wine is 90% Tempranillo with a 10% splash of native Spanish varietal Graciano. Cassis, blackcurrant leaf, smoke, and earthiness. Full-bodied. Serve with roasted lamb shank, Prime Rib roast. Decant. Good value for $20.

Carolynn Baird-Boyer reviewed this wine as follows:

Score 91
Ranked #34 in wine spectators top wines for 2013.
This robust Spanish red wine is a blend of 90% Tempranillo and 10% Graciano grapes for the 2010 vintage. It's fresh and intense with a modern style of winemaking. Polished tannins and racy acidity. - Community Wine Reviews
