Natalie's Score: 93/100

A full-bodied, big and juicy Brunello Di Montalcino with layers of ripe black fruits, dried fig, plum, anise, ginger, white pepper, cedar spice, orange zest flavours finishing long on the palate. Tannins are chewy and there is great acidity for food on this big Italian red. Good now, better in a couple of years.

Brunello di Montalcino food pairings: sundried tomato and fresh basil sauce over fusilli, ratatouille and shell pasta with tomato sauce, linguini marinara.

Reviews and Ratings

Val di Suga 2015 is an earthy and bold Brunello di Montalcino from the Tuscany wine region. Rich and earthy with dark fruit, plum, dark cherry, wild herb flavours, this is a big Italian red with chewy tannins and amazing acidity for food. Needs some time in cellar. Try now with a meat-lover's pizza, but best after 2022. - Community Wine Reviews
