Reviews and Ratings

Geoffrey Lindsay reviewed this wine as follows:

Named after the time Tyrrell’s winemaker lost an entire block of grapes, how you do this I don’t know but it does make for great marketing. The wine is crazy with the mint and eucalyptus. While having too much herbaciousness can be a problem this wine balances a fine line with grace. Wintergreen mint specifically the smell of wint-o-green lifesavers, eucalyptus and peppermint first meet the nose. There are also some ripe red berries with a hint of pepper and spice. This is a mouth filling wine but the plump tannins are beyond smooth. Spice hits on the finish with ripe blackberries and pepper. It has great acidity, vibrant really. An excellent value, I suggest the obvious pairing of mint and rosemary grilled rack of lamb.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
