Reviews and Ratings

Tsimbidi Monemvasia Jackal Limniona is a medium-bodied, extra-dry red from Laconia in the Peloponnese, made from the Limniona grape, a late-ripening variety that thrives in the hot, dry climate of this corner of Greece. Wild fermentation in stainless steel followed by twelve months on the lees gives the wine a richer texture than you'd expect, with aromas of wild strawberry and dried thyme, a palate of tart black cherry and earthy herbs, and a finish with supple tannins and bright acidity. Serve it just below room temperature and drink it now through 2028. Founder and winemaker Yiorgos Tsimbidis is a trained physicist who taught himself winemaking out of love for his home region, and in 2010 he secured PDO status for the ancient Monemvasia-Malvasia wine after twelve years of research, bringing back a wine that had been lost for five centuries. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
