A rustic, tannic red wine with aromas of charred black fruit, toast, oak and smoke. Firm grip on the palate. It's a blend of traditional grapes including Xinomavro, Krassato, and Stavroto. Pair with hearty meat dishes. Xynomavro's Tsantali Reserve Rapsani (2012) is a boisterous, rustic red, toasty, oaky and with very firm tannins. Produced from Greece's traditional grapes grown on the southern slopes of Mount Olympus.

Food pairings: Greek marinated lamb ribs on the grill, souvlaki, spanakopita pie.

Reviews and Ratings

Tsantali Reserve (2013) is a full-bodied and rustic, tannic red with dried fruit, leather and more smoke from oak ageing on the palate. The wine is a blend of Xinomavro, Krassato, and Stavroto wine grapes. Pair with hearty meat dishes and strong cheeses. - Community Wine Reviews
