Full-bodied and plush with a smooth texture. Lots of juicy black fruit flavour but not over-the-top. Racy acidity for barbecue wings or tangy tomato and meats sauces.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: grilled lamb chops, bison burgers, tourtière.

Reviews and Ratings

Wineboy rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A California CS which is far from typical. Classic cassis nose with popcorn notes. Slightly dry with lifted acids and obvious oak.
Truchard 2014 is a full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon from the Carneros, Napa Valley wine region. Lots of black currant and raspberry focus here, but needs time to develop and soften. Hold in cellar for about three years. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
