This robust red wine is a blend of 80% Malbec, 10% Bonarda and 10% Syrah grapes that was matured for a year in oak. Bursting with aromas of black fruit, smoke and tar. This wine needs cellar time and decanting of 2 hours. Pencil led and black fruit on the finish. Try it with hearty meat dishes. Match with robust dishes of beef, pork or lamb.

Reviews and Ratings

Martha Kelly AIWS - CS rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This blend of rich black grapes provides layers of flavour from black currant, dark cherry, vanilla, nutmeg, and black pepper. It's soft, round mouthfeel and refreshing finish make this a great value sipper - just watch out for the 14% abv..
Pair with lamb, or beef.
Drink now, or keep through 2016.
Date tasted: January 2015.
The Malbec vines for this Argentine red wine are planted in the Andean foothills. There is a splash of Bonarda and Syrah in the blend. - Community Wine Reviews
