Savoury, meaty and full-bodied with a smooth, seductive texture. Aromas of black cherry, bergamot herbs and some lovely leather notes on the finish. This is mostly Cabernet Sauvignon (85%) with 15% Cabernet Franc.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: grilled filet mignon with portobello mushrooms or rosemary encrusted lamb.

Reviews and Ratings

The Wine Sisters reviewed this wine as follows:

A big blockbuster of a wine to be sure. Rich, dense, and a touch sweet with ripe dark berries, plum jam, chocolate, red marker and rosemary/eucalyptus notes. Enjoy this with grilled rare steaks or braised short ribs.
A bold and racy year for Cabernet Sauvignon. The cold winter was followed by an outstanding growing season. The fruit exhibited round rich flavours at picking amid near-perfect harvest conditions. Aged in French and American oak for 26 months. Soft dried bergamot herb and berries on the nose. Cherry pie and secondary flavours of caramel, cedar and leather on the palate. Unfiltered. Good structure.
