Smoky mocha aromas on this nose of this full-bodied BC red wine from oak aging along with fleshy ripe black fruit. The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes for this wine are grown in the winery's Blue Terrace Vineyard. Pair with a juicy steak.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: robust dishes such as beef Wellington, herbed rack of lamb, or game such as a roasted wild boar with a cherry glaze. Fabulous with strong cheeses like Danish Blue, Gouda or a aged cheddar..

Reviews and Ratings

This single vineyard wine is sourced from a grower we have had the pleasure of working with for over a decade, Andy Marsel. The deep gravel soil of his north Black Sage Bench property is in many respects similar to Bordeaux’s Left Bank. A stellar growing season in 2012 produced a rich, dark wine with a harmonious palate of Bing cherry, Santa Rosa plum and licorice. Aromatic notes of cherry pie and mint with hints of tobacco. Plentiful soft leather tannin structure delivers a sophisticated wine with a supple palate for a distinctive Okanagan expression of Cabernet Sauvignon.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
