Whispers mocha espresso on the nose from oak aging, followed by a full whistle stop of fleshy blackberry aromas. This robust red wine is a blend of Garnacha and Carinena grapes planted in licorella slate soils on steep hillsides. Sounds like a lot of hot, back-breaking work to pick these suckers. You should be appreciative. The wine is aged in fine-grained French oak barrels for 18 months. Pair with filet mignon.

Food pairings: bison burgers, minced venison steak, roast pheasant stuffed with wild mushroom.

Reviews and Ratings

From the Priorat wine region, Torres Perpetual (2014) must have been named so for it perpetual length. This robust red is made with Grenache and Carinena wine grapes planted in that region's licorella-slate soils. The wine is mouthfilling and generous with concentrated, dark and ripe fruits, chocolate and cake spice. The wine is aged in fine-grained French oak barrels for 18 months. Elegantly structured with a fine balance. Enjoy now and for the next 10 years. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
