A full-bodied Primitivo, rich and smooth with black plum, blackberry, black raspberry, black cherry, dark chocolate flavours vibrant, full and smooth on the palate. Lush and luxurious. Wine grapes are organically grown and are sourced from two sites, the Maime Estate vineyards at San Pietro Vernotico, and from the Bocca di Lupo estate in Minervino Murge. The wine matured 10 months in small French and Hungarian oak barrels and a further eight months in bottle prior to its release.

Primitivo food pairings: acorn squash apples and cabbage bake, stuffed zucchini with herbs tomatoes onions and garlic, stuffed baked tomatoes.

Produced by Antinori, Tormaresca Torcicoda 2017 Primitivo is an unfiltered 100% Primitivo with grapes sourced from the Apulia, Salento wine region. Rich layers of ripe black cherry, raspberry jam, dark plum, dark chocolate, anise, spicy, long and elegant on the finish. Full and juicy. Fresh acidity, some chew on the tannins. Aged 10 months in French and Hungarian oak barrels and eight months in bottle prior to its release. - Community Wine Reviews
