Reviews and Ratings

Love this robust Australian red wine! Gorgeously rich and full-bodied with layers of voluptuous black fruit flavours and mint. Velvet caress on the tongue. Top me up! Try it tonight with a juicy, rare steak. Pair this robust red wine with a New York strip loin steak. MINE: From South Australia's Barossa Valley, Thorn Clarke's Shotfire Quartage (2014) is exactly that a shotfire across your palate. That's not to say the is a unpalatable, in fact, this wine is robust, full of ripe black fruit, tannins and announces its arrival. It's a very big wine that needs meat --the rarer the better. OTHER: A blend of cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, petit Verdot and merlot. Elegant red wine with dark berry, cherry and spicy oak flavours. A fine-boned wine with good underlying power. It offers value at this price. Drink date: 2018 to 2023. Score - 91 (Bob Campbell, MW, therealreview.com, Dec. 9, 2018). - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
