Reviews and Ratings

Brent Gushowaty rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

The wine has a medium depth of colour and shows a ripe cherry colour on the rim. The nose renders notes of cherries and vanilla, earthiness, forest floor and damp, decomposing wood.

The palate shows soft tannins on entry with notes of elegant ripe cherry, vanilla and baking spice. This is a straight forward medium bodied pinot with a medium minus intensity and a fairly long finish. The fruit intensity here is greater than most B.C. pinot noirs but does not taste overly extracted or manipulated - what a Northern California pinot producer seeking elegant, balanced wines might produce at an entry level. Very distinct. 88

Domaine Jasmin is a small family owned vineyard winery situated on Thetis Island between Saltspring Island and Vancouver Island in B.C.. The vines are grown without the use of pesticides or insecticides. The winery was founded by J. Denis & Coleen Gagnon in 2004 following a trip to France that made them want to return to their farming roots. They are strong proponents of the belief that wine is made in the vineyard.

100% Estate Grapes

As of April 2018, Domaine Jasmin has retired its license to produce wine commercially. The property is currently for sale.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
