The Lane Block 14 2016 is a juicy, big 100% Shiraz from the Adelaide Hills wine region. Fleshy, juicy with aromas of purple and black fleshy plums and spice. The Shiraz wine grapes for this robust red where 10% whole basket press. Nice earthy blue florals and with a fresh lift of spicy, blackberry fruit, bacon and toasty oak on the palate. Enjoy from 2020. Pair with slow-braised lamb shanks.

Shiraz food pairings: kangaroo tenderloin, bison burgers, rare rib steak.

Reviews and Ratings

The Lane Block 14 is a single-vineyard Shiraz produced from the Adelaide Hills, South Australia. This 100% Shiraz is a classic, deep, broody ruby purple, with 10% whole bunches and 90% destemmed wine grapes fermented and the wine juice aged in new and second-use French oak barrels. Spicy, blackberry fruit, smoked meat and toasty oak on the palate. Perfect for a grilled ribeye steak. Enjoy now and for the next 15 years. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
