A juicy, succulent, full-bodied Niagara red wine blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot grapes. About 15% of the grapes for this wine were dried for about 4 months appassimento style, as is often practise in northern Italy. The wine was matured for 16 months in oak. Aromas of ripe black fruit and toasty oak. Pair with grilled meats.

Food pairings: smoky game burgers, beef steak, rack of lamb, smoked cheeses.

Reviews and Ratings

Fifteen per cent of the wine juice The Foreign Affair's Dream 2015 red wine blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot came from wine grapes dried for four months in appassimento style, then aged 16 months in oak barrel before the final blending and bottling. Look for layers of dried fruit, ripe dark cherries, blackberry, cake spice and dried tobacco flavours on the palate. Tannins are firm. Nicely done, although could benefit from three years or more years in cellar to marry and mellow. Pair with meatlover's pizza topped with more meat. - Community Wine Reviews
