Tezza 2017 Valpolicella Ripasso is a broody dark ruby in the glass, fragrant with raisined fruit, spiced plum, dark cherry, savoury herbs and toasty oak spice flavours balanced with brilliant acidity on the palate. Tannins are firm and fine-grained. A gorgeous 80% Corvina and 20% Rondinella from Valpantena, Veneto wine region and great value at $23. The wine was matured 18 months in French oak barrels. Drink or hold.
