Although the alcohol is high, this is a medium-bodied red wine with juicy acidity and lots of tart black cherry. Perfect for tomato sauce.

Reviews and Ratings

Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

Tasted Nov. 6, 2017. Colour medium plus red. Thick legs suggests high alcohol. Aromas and flavours of tart strawberries and raspberry, smoke and dirt.
Taste dry, medium mouthfeel, grippy tannins, mouthwatering. Lots of heat. Finishes with tartness and heat. I liked this wine with ribs done in the crock pot. Dianne rib and chicken sauce. Was easy to drink compliments the rib sauce. Recommend drink with food. Good value rib wine. 100% Tinta De Toro. Terra d’uro (land of the bulls). Aged in French oak.
From the Ribera Del Duero wine region, Viña Vilano Crianza (2012) is a medium-bodied, juicy red with tart cherries. Pair with your favourite rich tomato, meat and pasta dish. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
