Produced by Tenuta San Guido, Le Difese 2016 is initially fermented in stainless-steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Then the wine is aged for 12 months in oak barriques. The wine is a juicy, full-bodied and mouth-watering, entry-level Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese red wine blend from the Tuscany wine region with dark cherry, strawberry and rosehip tea flavours on the palate. Vibrant acidity and food friendly for a pasta and tangy tomato and meat sauce dish.

Food pairings: prime rib, hearty meat stews, pork tenderloin.

Tenuta San Guido's Le Difese 2016 is a juicy, full-bodied and mouth-watering Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese red wine blend from the Tuscany wine region. Fermentation is initially in stainless-steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Then the wine is aged for 12 months in oak barriques. This is a lovely entry-level red with dark cherry, strawberry and rosehip tea flavours on the palate. Finishes fresh and zesty. Great food wine for pasta and tangy tomato and meat sauce dishes. Enjoy now and for the next three years. - Community Wine Reviews
