Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Ruby red, deep concentrated cherry, raspberry notes, with a unique fresh hay and tobacco leaf bouquet. Refreshing, tart berry and espresso finish. 89+ points. Tasted March 2015. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Ruby leaning to garnet colour with legs showing extraction. An abundance of red and black berries, cherry, plum, and leather aromas. The palate displays mature characteristics of damp earth, composte, dried fruit and herbs. Medium+ acidity and grainy tannins. Needs red meat. Decant at least 2 hours.
Tasted: April 2015
Guidalberto planted all the cypress trees in Bolgheri which inspired Giosuè Carducci to write a poem about them. This full-bodied Italian red wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (60%) and Merlot grapes. - Community Wine Reviews
