Peppery with dark spices and black fruit. Savoury, meaty and full-bodied with juicy smooth layers of pleasure. Pair with hearty meat dishes and meat lovers' pizza.

Reviews and Ratings

This is primarily Negroamaro with a little Malvasia Nera ... fresh, with balsamic berry fruit supported by warmth and minerality, displaying nice depth, elegance and freshness. On the palate it’s full and rich with powerful balsam-laced berry fruit supported by smooth sweet balsamic tannins and fair warmth, coupled with spice, and flows into a long balsam-laced finish. Pleasant and will work well with succulent roasts, especially richer dishes that beg something to clear the palate between bites. Score: 2 (out of 3) Source: Kyle Phillips, Italian Wine Review

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
