Taralas Red Single Vineyard Naoussa Xinomavro from Greece is an elegant, medium-bodied red offering aromas of wild cherry, dried herbs, and hints of black olive. It's bone dry with firm tannins and vibrant acidity. Serve it slightly below room temperature with grilled lamb kebabs as the wine's savory depth and structured tannins will enhance the spiced meat's richness beautifully, or pair it with aged feta cheese where the wine's complexity and mineral backbone will complement the cheese's tangy, salty character perfectly. Fourth-generation winemaker Dimitrios Taralas, who revived his family's winemaking legacy in 2006 after his retirement, established this state-of-the-art organic estate that now farms 25 hectares using biodynamic methods on the eastern slopes of Mount Vermion. The Taralas family played a crucial role in Greek viticulture history—establishing one of the country's first vine nurseries in the late 1920s after Dimitrios' grandfather Nikolaos brought his viticultural expertise from Eastern Rumelia to Greece at the turn of the 20th century. Enjoy now or cellar for 3-4 years.

Xinomavro food pairings: grilled lamb kebabs, aged feta cheese, moussaka.
