Taittinger Brut Reserve FIFA 2026 Special Edition is a radiant, Chardonnay-driven non-vintage Champagne from one of the great family-owned houses of Reims, bottled in a striking limited-edition collector's package to celebrate the FIFA World Cup 2026, hosted across Canada, Mexico, and the United States. This sparkling wine is made using the Methode Traditionnelle, or the traditional method of second fermentation in the bottle, just as they do in the Champagne region. Blending 40% Chardonnay with 35% Pinot Noir and 25% Pinot Meunier sourced from over 35 vineyard sites, the wine offers an elegant, refined nose of white peach, toasted brioche, acacia blossom, and a whisper of honey and fresh lemon zest. On the palate it is light-bodied and bone dry, with a fine, persistent mousse, bright natural acidity, and a long, silky finish of real finesse and poise. Serve it well chilled. Under the leadership of President Vitalie Taittinger, the house remains one of the rare truly family-owned Champagne producers, with 712 acres of estate vineyards including prized Grand Cru parcels in the Cote des Blancs and Montagne de Reims. Remarkably, Taittinger is the only French company partnering with FIFA, a collaboration stretching back to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, and only 350,000 bottles of this 2026 edition were produced worldwide.

Champagne food pairings: oysters on the half shell with mignonette, smoked salmon blinis with creme fraiche, lobster rolls with tarragon butter.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
