Rich and full-bodied with an incredible price point. Layers of fleshy dark fruit cry out coffee grounds cry out for a meaty dish companion. Finishes with blackberry, blueberries, purple plum, cedar smoke and black plum notes. Terrific! Hidden among the rich black fruit flavour in this powerful wine are fleeting notes of violets to create an intriguing bouquet. Perfect for barbecues and back decks.

Malbec food pairings: gourmet hamburgers, sausages, barbecue-grilled meat-lovers’ pizza, lamb cutlets.

Reviews and Ratings

Sur de Los Andes Reserva (2012) is a rich and full-bodied Malbec from Argentina. Selected grapes from Agrelo and Uco Valley are slowly macerated under controlled temperatures and the finished wine is aged 12 months in oak barrel. Look for blueberry and boysenberry notes with a touch of dark chocolate on this delicious red wine. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
